The First Atheists and Agnostics Convention in the Philippines, as hosted by PATAS (Philippine Atheists and Agnostics Society)

The Philippine Atheists and Agnostics Society will be holding its first convention tomorrow at Bayview Parks and Hotels, Manila. For those of you who are atheists, agnostics, or just someone who’re interested in learning more about atheism/agnosticism, this would be a great event to attend.

Speakers line up:

Ex-pastor; Global Atheist Convention speaker

JEREMIAH CAMARA – Author, “SlaveSermons”, Doubting Thomas

MARK TIER – Author from Australia

RED TANI – President, FilipinoFreethinkers (FF)

TANYA SMITH – President, Atheist Alliance International (AAI)

NORM ALLEN – Institute for Science and Human Values (ISHV) Speaker

ROAR JOHNSEN – VP, International Humanist and Ethical Union (IHEU)

REGISTRATION FEES – {ONLY 220 SEATS AVAILABLE}

Registration fee for PATAS official Member
P1,500 per pax – discounted

Registration fee for Non-PATAS Member
P2,000 per pax

Registration fee for Students
P 900 per pax (shirt not yet included)

(Student must provide a copy of student ID to avail discounted rates)

The registration fee includes T-Shirt (except students) and admission to all sessions during Convention, which includes breakfast, coffee breaks/ snacks, set lunch & set dinner.

Although most of the seats were also reserved for, there will be seats provided for walk-in registrants. This may be too late a post (although I’ve already posted about this before), I’m kinda hoping to be able to liveblog portions of the convention and then give a full update after.

To all atheists and agnostics in the Philippines, this is history in the making! The first ever Atheist/Agnostics convention in religion-dominated Philippines! Let’s rock this out!
