I’m familiar with several techie gadgets even before I became a blogger. But being one exposed me to more kinds of gadgets and made me learn how each different feature can help make my blogging an easy and fun experience. I have to confess that I’m becoming gadgetholic because of this. But better gadgetholism than doing drugs, right? Haha.
So it’s not really unusual for me to go browsing electronics and computer stores. I’ve been particularly attracted to a lot of the new P&S and DSLRs that’s been coming out lately, since my old Cybershot seems to want to go on retirement in the near future or even soon.
This one is Sony’s new mobile HD snap camera called Bloggie. It’s a lightweight, 5-megapixel camera that lets you shoot stills and videos on the go. It’s also available in fun, amazing colors like blue and pink. Also, the built-in USB connector enables one to easily upload all photos and videos almost instantly to social media networking sites. And the 360 video lens that comes with it enables one to video 360 degrees of the action.
It’s not really a cheap camera to buy, since it’s priced at P14,000+ and I think I could buy a better camera with that amount of money. The 5-megapixel is ample enough for quick photos on the go. But I’m not too happy anymore with 5-megapixels. I want to learn much more about photography and if I’m going to buy another point and shoot, I ain’t going for the Bloggie. I like the pink one, though. If I have extra money, I might go for it. But presently, I’m saving for a DSLR.
Now this camera’s not a DSLR. It’s the Olympus Pen e-PL1, a new, affordable Micro Four Thirds camera with a built-in flash, sensor-shift image stabilisation and one-touch HD video recording. Definitely perfect for anyone who hated DSLRs because they’re too “complicated”. What I love about this camera is the impressive lineup of art filters. It’s almost like having Photoshop in your camera. But, of course, I’ve already decided that I wanted to study photography. So, it would be better if I learn it with a DSLR. But this is one cool gadget. And did I mention that you can use your DSLR’s lenses with this camera? Now we’re talking.
Not exactly a tool for blogging but the Alienware m11x will intensify your gaming experience. An ultraportable laptop with 11.6″ screen, RAM speed DDR3, 1GB video RAM, 2GB system RAM, 160 GB storage hard drive, Intel Core2Duo…definitely for bloggers who like to play games and make reviews of their gaming experience. I want one, but I don’t have P75,000. Grrrr.
Of course, there are more but these are the eye-catchers. If there’s anything that I could wish for right now, it’s to have more, more money so I could buy all these gadgets. Whoa!
